Ghia Monitor MG2423 and EYOOSO Z94 Keyboard

The gaming products market is filled with an absurd amount of options, ranging from products by giant international brands like Razer, HyperX, MSI, and many more, to lesser-known brands that, despite their lack of recognition, excel in quality and passion in everything they produce and sell.

Today, we’ll review two of these products that can be considered value for money, always considering that when we refer to this term, we’re talking about products that may not be the cheapest but offer the most features for the money we’re paying.

Let’s get to know the 23.8-inch Ghia Monitor, which may not be marketed as a gaming alternative but is definitely value for money at its regular price without discounts. Additionally, we’ll discover together if the EYOOSO Z94 keyboard (which is 90% of the original size of a keyboard) lives up to being a high-quality product hidden within a much smaller brand.

Ghia Monitor

This monitor is from a brand that may not be familiar to many people, but after not finding concrete and up-to-date information, I decided to take the risk and venture to purchase one of their products. The model in question is the MG2423, a 24-inch monitor.

External Packaging

We can see some simple specifications of the monitor on the exterior of the box, such as its resolution, size, screen diagonal, and model, to name a few.

Upon Opening the Box

We find an instruction manual, which, while always showing us a bit of what the monitor includes, is quite basic. Apart from that, we find an HDMI cable and the stand to place the monitor.

The monitor comes well protected, and upon opening it, the most noticeable thing is that the screen borders are quite small. Additionally, the monitor is quite slim and only slightly larger in the speaker area.

Features:

  • Screen: 23.8-inch LED IPS
  •  Resolution: 1920×1080
  •  Anti-reflective coating
  • -Integrated speakers
  • -75Hz refresh rate
  • -4ms response time
  •  Tilt angle of 5° to 15°

Day-to-Day Use

After using it daily for a week, for 7 to 10 hours each day, we can draw certain positive and negative conclusions about the monitor.

Positive Points

The monitor looks good, and the viewing angles are quite good. It has an anti-reflective coating, which is especially useful if we have a monitor lamp to reduce eye strain.

The Full HD resolution provides more than acceptable definition, and its size of 23.8 inches helps ensure that pixels do not bother its use. Additionally, its 75Hz refresh rate helps provide a bit more fluidity when scrolling. It’s worth mentioning that it features Freesync technology.

The price is a factor to consider. At the regular price without any discounts, it costs 105 $, which fluctuates very little.

It comes with a direct 3-year warranty from the brand, demonstrating the confidence the brand has in its product.

Lastly, it works with both VGA and HDMI connections, giving us more than one option for connectivity.

Negative Points

Regarding negative points, we can mention its integrated speaker. While it’s appreciated that it’s available as an extra, it honestly sounds low and of quite poor quality, making it uncomfortable to listen to for more than 10 minutes.

It lacks any eye protection feature, which is something that is sold and can be found for just a little more money. For people who spend many hours a day using the computer, having this feature is appreciated.
If we’re looking for gaming, it’s not the most recommended option due to its 4ms response time, which gives it significant latency. For more competitive games, this could compromise our reaction time and potentially lead to defeat.

Overall:

It’s a monitor that meets the basics and a little more. Considering the price, we can’t expect more.

EYOOSO Z94 Keyboard

Out of the Box

The first thing we notice is that it comes with very few accessories, just a cable to connect it to the computer, which is braided for added durability. It also includes a small kit with which we can change the default keycaps and a switch extractor along with two replacements from the Outemu White brand.

It includes a user manual, which is quite simple, where we will find, in addition to recommendations, a good number of commands to press the missing letters and also to control the RGB lights included from the keyboard itself.

When lifting the keyboard, we realize that it is not heavy and feels well-built from any angle. On the back, we find the 2.4G adapter for its connection and a switch that has 3 states: 2.4G/Off/BT.

Features

  • Keyboard Type: Mechanical
  • Connection: Wired/removable, Bluetooth with 3 channels, and 2.4G adapter
  • Keys: 94 Anti-Ghosting Keys
  • Keyboard Language: English US QWERTY
  • Switch: Outemu White
  • Slots: Hotswappable/Interchangeable
  • Integrated Battery: 2500 mAh
  • Compatible with: Windows XP/VISTA/Win 7/Win 8/Win 10/Win 11/Linux/Mac (No access to multimedia)/IOS/Android/Xbox/PS4/PS5
  • Splash Protection

When Turning It On. The first thing it does is greet us with a demonstration of its lights, performing a sequence with different colors, showcasing its full RGB. Pressing the keys, we can feel that their travel is linear and direct, quite dry with just a little echo inside the keyboard. The finish of the keys is also correct, and the color is quite good. The gradient effect in blue looks excellent.

Connecting it with the 2.4G adapter, we see that the response is immediate, with no noticeable latency of any kind. It can be used with Bluetooth, and up to 3 different devices can be connected. When used in Bluetooth mode, we can appreciate just a slight delay, but it’s not bothersome or uncomfortable to use it this way.

If we remove its Keycaps, we’ll see the Outemu White switches, which feel quite pleasant to the touch and are silent. The typing sound is quite firm, although there is a slight echo and metallic sound, despite the brand telling us that it has foam inside.

Lastly, it has a built-in 2500 mAh battery, which I’ve been using for 9 days, and it still has 50% left. It promises up to 12 hours of continuous use with its RGB lights on and up to 12 days on Standby.

Are they a good option?

Quality-price products are a good option for the vast majority of people. It’s important to consider that with a budget-friendly price, there will be certain features that might be sacrificed along the way. As users, we need to decide what we are willing to compromise on or what our specific needs are in a product.

I recommend both products.

The Ghia monitor: It’s suitable for individuals who don’t have aspirations for competitive gaming and instead seek a monitor that fulfills basic tasks, some simple games, and if they plan to connect a console, it’s advisable to have separate speakers to avoid dealing with poor audio quality.

The EYOOSO Z94 keyboard: I recommend it for gamers who want to add a pleasing color scheme to their setup and seek a bit more silence in a mechanical keyboard without losing the advantages of anti-ghosting and the possibilities of customization, from switches to keycaps.
